"In the beginning" is the traditional translation of the opening-phrase or incipit "" in Biblical Hebrew used in the Bible in Genesis 1:1 . In John 1:1 of the New Testament, the word is translated into English with the same phrase. Etymology The mimetic translation of the word ''bǝrēʾšît'' () in the Hebrew Bible is: 'In beginning'. The word is made of two parts, ''bǝ'' (a prepositional suffix) and ''rēʾšît'' (a noun). As a result, this forms part of a genitive phrase, leading to a linguistic and exegetical translation of this word being 'In the beginning of...'. More accurately, the Hebrew word for "In the beginning,", the non-genitive phrase, would be "''barēʾšît".'' ''Beresheet'' (, ''Bərēšīṯ'', "In the beginning"; Book of Genesis) was a demonstrator of a small robotic lunar lander and lunar probe operated by SpaceIL and Israel Aerospace Industries. Its aims included inspiring youth and promoting careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, STEM), and landing its magnetometer, time capsule, and Retroreflector, laser retroreflector on the Moon. The lander's gyroscopes failed on 11 April 2019 causing the main engine to shut off, which resulted in the lander crashing on the Moon. Its final resting position is 32.5956°N, 19.3496°E. Blue Fringe was an American Jewish rock band from New York City. Genesis Rabbah (, also known as Bereshit Rabbah and abbreviated as GenR) is a religious text from Judaism's classical period, probably written between 300 and 500 CE with some later additions. It is an expository midrash comprising a collection of ancient rabbinical homiletical interpretations of the Book of Genesis, the first book of the Torah, whose authorship in tradition has been attributed to Hoshaiah Rabbah in the period of the Amoraim, flourishing in 3rd century Roman-ruled Syria Palaestina. The midrash forms an aggadic commentary on Genesis, in keeping with the midrashic exegesis of that age. In a continuous sequence, broken only toward the end, the Biblical text is expounded, verse for verse, often word for word. Only genealogic passages and passages that furnish no material for exposition (as the reiterated account of Abraham's servant in 24:35-48) are omitted.
